Letter to the Grade 4s of 2020

Dear Grade 4s of 2020,
Welcome to the Senior Primary! The past three years that I have been here, I've done so many things, made so memories and wouldn't change anything. There are so many exciting things coming up. There are some of the things I took part in and thing for you to look forward to, I love sport and I played softball, I swam, I played netball. I was at sports day every year and if you don't get a medal or do as well as you wanted to, it's fine, you are there to support one another and have FUN! You can, in Grade 6 be a cheerleader! You can sing in the choir, swim in a gala. There's Book By Night where you come in your pj's and have hot chocolate. You can be in the marimba band and there's show/productions.

I loved my time in the Senior Primary, I still remember the first day of  Grade 4 and now I'm in Grade 6. Enjoy every second of it, be respectful to your teachers, hand in your homework on time, bring your iPad to school everyday and most of all HAVE FUN! Do everything they offer, sing in the choir, play the sport (in Grade 5/6 there are sports tours that are amazing), be you, the teachers are amazing. I have love all the teachers. Leaving the Senior Primary is hard and it has gone so quickly. Have fun, make the most of it and be you!

Digital Footprint

I am going to be explaining, what a digital footprint is and why it is important to have a good digital footprint. A digital footprint is what you do online, it tracks what you do online so even if you click the delete button, it can still be traced and recovered. With modern technology it can be traced and it can be traced back to you. This is why it is important to  have a positive digital footprint.

When you get a job one day your boss will look at you digital footprint and see whether you have a positive digital footprint before they hire you. Everything you do online is traceable and you need to be careful and use kind and uplifting words. I hope this helped and that you will be careful what you do online.

Email To David’s Parents

Email Etiquette

In IT today, we learnt how to send a proper email to a teacher, peer or anyone. I have now learnt all the rules on how to send a email. There are five points that we need to remember when sending a email, number one you must first address them, number two you must add a subject line that is two the point. You must avoid using all caps and text slang. The last thing that you need to remember is to sign off with your name.

It is important to give a good impression when writing an email and remember your five points. Be polite and do not email for fun.

My Superhero

Flex Girl and Lego Man
We had a ILT week and for this ILT we had to create a superhero or villian from plasticine. This was partner work and my partner was Holly. Our superhero's name was Flex Girl and we decided to also make a villian, our villian's name was Lego Man. In our video, Lego Man was holding people hostage. One of the people who were held hostage called Flex Girl and she killed Lego Man. He wanted revenge because Flex Girl had killed his parents because they mad a evil plan. He tried to finish it but it didn't work.

Wonder Precepts

Precepts

We are reading the book Wonder in Grade 6. We are learning about precepts.

What is a precept?
A precept is a quote or a motto that you follow or go by. The precept that the character, Mr Browne used was, "When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind" and I think that that was a suitable but very meaningful quote.

My own precept to follow
This precept or quote means that people can see and hear kind but if they are blind or deaf they can feel that you are being kind. If you try help someone people see, if you say something kind to someone, someone will see and if you do something kind out of your own it doesn't go unrecognised. I am going to try and folllow this quote this year.
